We ran into an issue with SQL Server 2008 R2 and tiff viewers. The tiff viewers work well untill we install SQL. Once we install SQL, the tiff viewers do not want to pull up the images. It looks like an Active X issue, (Since the images are pulled up through a URL). I have lowered the IE (We are currently using IE 9 as a company standard), allowed all active x controls, and no change. I have been able to save the image to the HD and am prompted with an "allow access" type message, but thats only after saving the document and opening with Windows Picture Viewer. This work around will not work with the department, due to the fact that they do alot of redacting. It would also be very time consuming to go through millions of tiff's and convert to PDF so that is not an option. How can I get these images to open up like the pre-sql install with IE and the tiff viewer (We have Black Ice and also can use Pegasus Prism Viewer)?
